Library 122 (L122) is a smart classroom and computer lab that seats 24 people and is equipped with a projector, sound system, computer, document camera, and touch screen control panel.
Connecting a laptop
- Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere and press the Laptop button to turn on the projector.
- Connect the HDMI cable that extends from the wallplate to the correct port on the laptop. An adapter may be necessary if the laptop does not have an HDMI monitor port. All MacBook models will require an adapter.
- Power up the laptop. If the laptop display is not shown, configure the laptop to send output to a second display.
- Adjust the audio volume on the touch screen.
Using the dedicated computer
- Confirm the (VGA) video cable is connected to the adapter on the back of the computer and to the Crestron input panel on the wall.
- Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere and press the Laptop button to turn on the projector.
- Press the Room PC button on the Extron switch box to display the room computer.
- Adjust the audio volume on the touch screen or on the computer itself.
Using the document camera
- Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere.
- Press the document camera button on the Extron switch box on the instructor’s table.
- Turn on the document camera.
- Place the document or item to be shown on the bed of the document camera.
Turn off system
- Press the shut down button on the touch screen panel. The touch screen will go to sleep in a few minutes.
- Confirm or cancel the shutdown.
- Lock the media cabinet.
