How do I upload a closed caption file to a MediaSpace video?
Answer
1. Select the video you are adding a caption file to. Under the video click on the drop down menu Actions, from there click Edit.
2. Select the Caption Tab and Upload Caption File. Click the Upload Captions Button.
3. In the pop-up window, Click Browse and choose your caption file. Select the caption language. Add a label, “Click For Captions” is a good label choice. Click Save.
4. Uploaded Captions can be set as default, edited, deleted and downloaded by clicking the associated icons in the Caption Actions area. (delete is handy in case you uploaded the wrong file!)
5. To view the final video with closed captioning select the video again under My Media and click on the CC button at the bottom of the viewing window. This will also allow viewers to turn the Closed Captioning on and off.
