How do I dial long distance on my Mitel phone?
Answer
To call anywhere in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada – dial 8 + 1 + the area code + the 7 digit number + wait for the prompt and then dial your 6-digit ID code followed by the # sign. To obtain a long distance code, your supervisor must email your tech ID, your phone number, and the cost center that will pay for the calls to helpdesk@bemidjistate.edu
To place an international calls – dial 8 + 011 + Country Code + the number + wait for the prompt and then dial your 6 digit ID code followed by the # sign. Email helpdesk@bemidjistate.edu for dialing assistance.
Please note: There are a few traditional analog fax machines left on campus. To send a long distance fax, you need to dial 9-1 and then the number.
