HS 116: Hyflex Classroom received an equipment upgrade during Summer 2025.

A TV was added to the rear of the classroom and can be used as a secondary display when connected to the instructor's podium via the USB-C connection. It is an extended/secondary display. Instructors can select and drag application screens to the left or right of the laptop monitor, depending on whether the computer has designated the extended/secondary display to be set to the left or right side of the computer screen to utilize the TV. Mirror display is not an option on the TV.

Plug your computer into the USB-C cable at the instructor station to project in the room.
Tap the larger touch panel on the instructor podium to select the input to display on the projector screen.
The USB-C cable is the only one needed to control this room and to access the in-room cameras and microphones. If Wireless is selected to connect the computer, no cable is required to connect the computer to the projector screen up front. However, this option does not include access to the camera, microphones, or rear TV options; to utilize those options, the USB-C cable must be connected.
Suppose you have the USB-C cable connected to your computer and are unable to project or use the rear TV in the room. In that case, the computer is likely missing a necessary driver to utilize the technology in the room. For instructions to install that driver, go to the DisplayLink Installation Knowledge Base article for assistance.

To Adjust the In-Room Cameras:
Tap the Camera button in the top right corner of the touch-panel to access the in-room camera controls. This is where you can zoom in or out. You can also turn on or off the camera tracking feature for the Instructor or Audience camera. The tracking feature on these cameras is activated by motion sensing, not voice or sound-activated.

To Adjust the In-Room Microphones:
Tap the Microphone button in the top right corner of the touch-panel to access the in-room microphone controls. This allows you to mute the ceiling microphones in the room, ensuring that only the wireless microphone is heard over the room and in Zoom/Teams calls from the room.

Please report any technical problems or issues in this room via the Report a problem in a Classroom/Conference Room service page, or call the Help Desk at 218-755-3777 for assistance.
