Bensen 413 is a hyflex classroom that seats 35 people with highly flexible seating arrangements.

Connecting a laptop
  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by tapping it anywhere. Choose the Laptop input on the left side of the screen.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable that extends from the top of the media cabinet to the correct port on the laptop. An adapter for USB-C ports is included. 
  3. If the laptop display is not shown, configure the laptop to send video output to a second display (Windows key + p, or Screen Mirroring on MacOS).
  4. Adjust the laptop volume on the touch screen using the slider.
Using Zoom in the classroom
  1. Connect the USB cable on the desktop to your laptop or to the multi-port adapter if you are using it. This will allow you to use the room's ceiling mics and cameras (front and rear). Controlling the cameras and mics is done via the touch panel:

    1. In the Zoom Workplace app on your laptop, begin your meeting and choose "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone" (Easy-IP Decoder) as your microphone. Choose "Crestron" as your speaker:

    2. For video, choose "EasyIP Decoder", and then on the touch panel select which camera you want active (Instructor or Audience). You can control the pan, tilt, and zoom of each camera using the touch panel controls.

Using the DVD/VCR player
  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by tapping it anywhere.
  2. Press the Blu-ray input button on the touch panel.
  3. Open the cabinet and find the DVD player. Power it on and insert your disc.
  4. Press play on the touch screen panel.
  5. Adjust the volume on the touch screen using the slider.
Using the document camera
  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by tapping it anywhere.
  2. Press the Document Camera input button on the touch panel.
  3. Turn on the document camera.
  4. Place the document or item to be shown on the bed of the document camera.
Turn off system
  1. Press the shut down button on the touch screen panel. The touch screen will go to sleep in a few minutes.
  2. Confirm or cancel the shutdown.
