Sattgast 301 is a smart classroom and lab that is equipped with a projector, sound system, and document camera. This room does not have a touch panel for controlling inputs. All video signals run through the document camera.
Turning on the system
- Turn on the projector with the small Sony remote by pushing the green button at the top. It will take about 30 seconds to warm up.
- Ensure the document camera is turned on (blue LEDs are active). If not, turn it on using the power button on the base of the doc cam.
Sharing your laptop content in the classroom
- Ensure your laptop is on and ready to connect.
- Connect the HDMI cable to the correct port on your laptop. An HDMI-to-USB-C adapter is provided for Macs or Dells with USB-C ports.
- If not already selected, push the laptop button on the document camera to send the laptop image to the projector. The image below shows the laptop button is active with the blue LED.

Showing documents/objects with the document camera
- Follow steps 1 and 2 above (Turning on the system).
- If not already selected, push the doc cam button (the bottom button on the directional pad) on the document camera to send the doc cam image to the projector. The image below shows the doc cam button is active with the blue LED. You may see the projector flicker a few times before the source switches from laptop to document camera.

- Place the document or item beneath the camera to be shown on the projector.
- If the image is not displaying, make sure both HDMI cables are connected to the back of the document camera.
Turning off the system
- Turn off the projector by pressing the Standby button on the Sony remote.
- Turn off the document camera by pressing its power button.
