DisplayLink Driver Installation

Instructions on installing DisplayLink Driver to allow the computer to fully utilize the technology in the USB-C connection classrooms, or to utilize the docking station in an office.

Question

When the USB-C cable is connected in the HyFlex classroom, the computer is unable to display to the projector or rear TV in the room.

Environment

The following classrooms utilize a USB-C connection to control the room: HS 116, HS 150, HS 213, HS 214, S 208, BG 119, and BG 218.

Cause

The computer needs to have the latest DisplayLink driver to utilize the technology in the room. 

Windows Instructions:

All BSU Windows computers can install the Display Link driver using the following instructions: 

  1. Select Start, or the Windows icon. 
  2. Type Software Center and open up the Software Center application. 
  3. Select Applications on the left side of the window. Select the DisplayLink Driver on the right. 
  4. Select Install. 
  5. After the installation, it is recommended to restart the computer to allow the installation to complete fully.

Any personal or non-BSU Windows computer can download the latest DisplayLink driver from the manufacturer's website. 

Mac Installation:

Download the latest DisplayLink driver from the manufacturer's website.
