D2L Class Progress Tool

Summary

Instructors and students can use Class Progress to view course activity.

Body

The Class Progress tool helps instructors check the progress of their class and individual students. It can also be used by students to view individual progress and feedback on graded activities. 

Overall Class Progress (Instructors)

The Class Progress page shows an activity summary of each student in four areas: Content, Assignment Submissions, Discussions and Grades.

  1. Enter a course in D2L
  2. Select Other Tools on the Navbar, then select Class Progress
  3. On the Class Progress page, you will see a summary of student activity 
  4. To dig deeper, select an individual student

Progress Summary (Instructors and Students)

The Progress Summary page shows nine areas of the individual student progress: Grades, Objectives, Content, Discussions, Assignments, Quizzes, Checklist, Surveys, Course Access, and System Access. 

  1. Enter a course in D2L
  2. Select Other Tools on the Navbar, then select Class Progress
    1. Students will go directly to the Progress Summary page
    2. ​​​​​​​Instructors must select an individual student
  3. On the left side of the page, select a tool to see detailed information related to that tool 
    1. Example: select the Content tool to view detailed information including when a specific topic was last accessed, how many topics and modules have been viewed, and how much time was spent viewing a specific topic. Select a topic to view detailed information. You will see the text “Downloaded” next to an item that was downloaded
    2. Instructors can use arrows at the top of the page to move from one student to the next
