Sattgast 331: Smart Room Instructions

Sattgast 331 is a hyflex classroom that seats 56 people and is equipped with a projector, room camera and microphones, sound system, document camera, and DVD/VCR player.

Connecting a laptop
  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere. Tap the Laptop input button on the touch panel.
  2. Connect the HDMI cable that extends from the top of the media cabinet to the correct port on the laptop. An HDMI to USB-C adapter is provided.
  3. If the laptop display is not shown, configure the laptop to send video output to a second display (Windows key + p, or Screen Mirroring on MacOS).
  4. Adjust the laptop volume on the touch screen.
Using the Zoom equipment in the room
  1. Follow steps 1-4 above.
  2. Connect the USB cable to your laptop. This cable has a yellow tag on it. 
  3. Open Zoom Workplace on your laptop and start your meeting.
  4. In the Zoom audio selection menu, choose "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone" as your microphone, and choose "Crestron" as your speaker.
  5. In the Zoom video selection menu, choose "Easy IP Decoder" as your camera. See the image below for what this looks like in Zoom.
  6. Use the "Vaddio" remote to control the camera zoom, pan, and tilt. The camera is located on the back wall in the center of the room near the ceiling. Point the remote in that direction.

Using the document camera
  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere. Tap the Doc Cam input button on the touch panel.
  2. Ensure the document camera is on. If not, push the power button on its base.
  3. Place the document or item to be shown on the desk below the doc cam lens.

Using the DVD/VCR player

  1. Turn on the touch screen panel by pressing it anywhere. Tap the Room PC input button on the touch panel.
  2. Open the cabinet door and insert the DVD or VHS tape you wish to show, and press play on the touch screen panel.
  3. Adjust the volume on the touch screen.
Turn off system
  1. Press the shut down button on the touch screen panel. The touch screen will go to sleep in a few minutes.
  2. Confirm or cancel the shutdown.
