D2L Mid-Semester Course Review 

If you want to add a mid-semester evaluation to your course, follow the instructions below, or contact Beth Jensen for assistance. Once added to your course, the anonymous surveys can be edited as desired. All survey results are confidential and can only be shared by you. Results can be viewed, printed, and exported to Excel.

Adding the “Mid-Semester Course Review” Survey to your D2L shell 

1. Go to the Survey section of the tutorials page  
2. Select the Zip file: Mid-Semester Course Eval link and save the .zip file to your computer 
3. Enter your course in D2L 
4. Select Course Tools, then Course Admin 
5. Select Import/Export/Copy Components 
6. Select Import Components (from a course package) 
7. Select Start, then select Upload 
8. Select the .zip file and select Open  
9. Select Import All Components, then select View Content 

Editing the Survey in the Course 

1. Select Other Tools on the Navbar, then select Surveys 
2. Select the arrow next to the survey name and select Edit 
3. Select the Add/Edit Questions button 
   1. To delete a question, select the box to the left of the question and then select the delete button at the top of the list 
   2. To edit a question, select the question text. Make your changes and select Save 
   3. When finished, select Done editing questions 
4. To set date restrictions on the survey, select the Restrictions tab of the survey. Select your Start and/or End Dates and Save and Close. 

Getting Survey Results 

1. To View survey results, select the arrow next to the survey name and select Statistics 
2. To Print the survey results, follow the steps below. 
   1. Select the arrow next to the survey name and select Edit.  
   2. Select the Reports tab and select on the Summary Report.  
   3. Scroll to the bottom and select the Instructor checkbox 
   4. Save and Close.  
   5. Select the arrow next to the survey name and select Reports  
   6. Select Summary Report 
   7. Select Generate HTML 
   8. For all of the open-ended questions, select Expand Responses 
   9. Select the Print Report button at the top right of the page
