How do I activate my Star ID?

Answer

1. In any browser, go to https://starid.minnstate.edu/
2. Click on Activate my StarID
3. Enter your Tech ID number
4. Select Bemidji State University from the drop down menu
5. Click Continue
6. Enter your Social Security Number
   • If you do not have a Social Security Number, please see our article on How to Activate your Star ID without a Social Security Number
7. Enter a password that meets the MnState guidelines (below). This password will expire every 180 days 
8. Your star ID will display once a password has been set
