Import Course Materials from a Zip File

If you have a .zip file from a publisher, or if you have exported your online course materials from another school or learning management system, you can use the Import/Export/Copy Course Components tool to import the course materials into a D2L shell.

Instructions

  1. Save the zip file to your computer
  2. Enter your course in D2L.
  3. Select Other Tools on the Navbar, select Course Admin, then select Import/Export/Copy Components
  4. Select Import Components from a course package
  5. Select Start
  6. Drag and drop the .zip file onto the target area or select the Upload button and select your .zip file
  7. Select Import All Components
  8. Continue the import process as prompted and then select Finish or View Content

RECOMMENDATION:

Go through your D2L shell to make sure everything was imported as expected, and check links to make sure they are working.
