Use the My Courses Widget

The My Courses widget on your Home Page shows courses you are enrolled in. To make your current courses easier to find, you can pin them to the top of the list. You can also use the filters located at the top of the widget to filter courses to a specific semester.

NOTE: Pinned courses will show up in the order that they were pinned. To rearrange the pin order, unpin all courses and then re-pin them.

View Courses in the My Courses Widget

You can view up to 12 courses in the My Courses widget, and there are two options for pinning courses. Each semester we recommend that you clear all pins and then re-pin the courses you want at the top of your list.

Option 1: Use the “View All Courses” Link

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the My Courses list on your D2L Home Page
  2. Select the View All Courses link
  3. Select the Sort: Default link in the upper right and select Sort: Date Pinned
  4. If you see any course images with a pin icon in the upper right, select the pin icon to unpin each course
  5. Now you are ready to pin. Before you begin, think about which course you want at the top of your list. The first course you pin will be displayed at the top, followed by the second course you pin, etc.
  6. In the Find a course search box, search for the course(s) you want to pin. You can search for the current semester prefix (i.e., Fa25) to find your courses. Or you can enter a word or number from the name of the course.
  7. Hover over the top right corner of the course image, select the blue button with three dots, and choose Pin
  8. When you are finished pinning courses, select the X at the top right of the page.
  9. Refresh your page. The My Courses widget will display your pinned courses followed by other courses you are currently enrolled in.

Option 2: Use the Course Selector

  1. Select the Course Selector button (waffle shaped icon), on the top right of your screen
  2. A list of courses will appear. Scroll down until you see the course you want to pin. Alternately, enter a few words of the course into the search box to filter the course list that appears.
  3. Select the Pin icon that appears to the right of the course title. When you have pinned a course to your widget, the icon darkens in color.

  1. When you have finished pinning your courses, refresh your page, and then scroll down to view the courses that are in the My Courses widget.

Change the Course Image (Instructors only)

  1. Hover over the top right corner of the course image, select the blue button with three dots, and select Change Image
  2. To search the images, enter your subject, such as Business, into the search box
  3. Select the magnifying glass and all the images associated with Business will appear
  4. Hover over the image you like and select Use this image
