D2L Discussion Board Notifications

To receive D2L Discussion Notifications in your email, there are two steps:

First, you subscribe to the Discussion topic(s)

1. Go to the Discussion page and find the topic(s) that you want to subscribe to
2. Select the arrow next to the Topic(s) and select “Subscribe”
3. Select how you want to be notified, such as “send me an instant notification”
4. This action will alert you inside of D2L by showing an orange dot on the subscription alert icon in the Navbar
5. When you click on the alert icon, you will see additional information about the new post

Next, edit your D2L notifications to receive an email when a post is made to the Discussion topic(s)

1. Subscribe to the Discussion topic(s) (see instructions above)
2. Select your profile picture in the upper right corner of D2L and select Notifications
3. Scroll down the page and select the box to receive an email when someone posts in a topic that you are subscribed to
4. Save the Notification page
